Working primarily with stoneware and porcelain, Káradóttir's brand Ker exclusively features items that are designed and handmade on the wheel. Growing up in Hafnarfjördur, a small town near Reykjavik that is built on lava, Káradóttir drew inspiration from her environment and Icelandic nature.
Káradóttir enjoys using her artistry to give back and volunteers with the Aurora Foundation in Sierra Leone, Africa. Since 2018, she has helped to establish an annual ceramics workshop with the Lettie Stuart Pottery School, a project that revolves around helping local potters, students, and their communities attain sustainable development.
