Exclusively designed by artist José Miguel Piñero in collaboration with Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz, this cocktail vessel is inspired by the purple corn native to Peru and is featured exclusively at Oroya, the rooftop restaurant at The Madrid EDITION.
As barware or a work of art, this piece delivers bold, eye-catching style.
Designer, artisan, and businessman, José Miguel Piñero was born in and remains a resident of Alcoi, Spain. As the head of El Taller de Piñero, where he continues to build upon his professional career of 30 years, his work is focused in thematic decoration.
He started with mural painting and decoration projects. By a twist of fate, he met Alberto Adriá which opened the door to the world of Haute Cuisine. He began to develop personalized pieces of tableware and specific decorative elements for chefs such as the Adriá brothers, the Roca brothers, Paco Roncero, Quique Dacosta, and Dabiz Muñoz. With his unique “never giving no as an answer” approach to every project, Piñero has been named one of the 100 Most Creative Spaniards in the business world by Forbes magazine.
